Geared to the new infrared camera user, user-to-be and the veteran camera owner, this course focuses on thermal imager use for Home and Building Inspection Professionals.  Attendees successfully completing all training course requirements and a course examination can receive confirmation as a Certified Residential Thermographer. Students complete the course with a much stronger understanding of Thermal Imaging capabilities and applications as well as the confidence and competence to immediately put that knowledge to use.

Certified Residential Thermographer Course Benefits:


  • Introduction to imaging and measurement systems for predictive inspection for thermal and maintenance applications.  No experience in thermography is necessary!

The learning objectives, contact hours, and written exam of Home Performance Thermography Certification course are based on the requirements utilized to satisfy the Standards of Practice for ASHI, TAREI, NAHI, CREIA, FABI and Home Inspection/Performance Professionals throughout the United States.   As such, this course is suitable for use by your employer to recognize you and market both your knowledge and the company’s inspection services as complying with the written standards of practice and knowledge requirements for a Certified Residential Thermographer. This class is not an ASNT NDT Level I Thermography course.


































This is a hands on training.


Cameras will be provided for training, OR bring your own camera if you have one!






Presenter BIO:


Bill Fabian is Vice President of Training and Sales for Monroe Infrared. He’s been providing thermography training, infrared camera selection support, and IR inspection services to Home Inspectors, Energy Auditors, Building Science and Manufacturing Maintenance/PDM Industry Professionals since 1986. He works closely with clients and programs of all sizes to ensure the right equipment and training is provided to maximize the value added through infrared imaging and to increase the ROI achieved. Bill has delivered numerous presentations, papers and classes on the use of thermal imaging for home inspectors, energy and electrical/mechanical applications to a wide variety of professional business segments. He develops and teaches specialized infrared training courses for Monroe Infrared to a broad array of audiences across the Unites States.


Bill was the primary architect in the development of Monroe Infrared’s Certified Residential Thermography Course for Home Inspectors. He resides with his family north of Detroit, MI.
